With trapped atomic and molecular ions, Associate Professor  Andrew Jayich studies fundamental symmetries as well as explore new opportunities for optical clocks and quantum information science.

He received my bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his Ph.D. from Yale University, advised by Jack Harris. Following his Ph.D., Jayich did a postdoc for Wes Campbell, where they laser cooled and trapped atoms with an optical frequency comb.
